Università Mediterranea has adopted a Gender Equality Plan for the three-year period 2021-2023 with Rector's Decree No. 285 of 06/10/2020.
The Plan intends to develop actions aimed at integrating the gender dimension in training, research, teaching and communication to create an open and inclusive environment. 4 lines of action have been identified, namely:
Decision-making bodies and Human Resources;
Career progression;
The gender dimension in research and teaching;
Gender Culture.
These are actions that require time before providing clear measurable results but the Plan represents an important starting point for starting a process that aims to reduce imbalances and promote greater representativeness, enhancing all the components of the University.
The document is the result of an in-depth process of analysis, discussion, evaluation and revision carried out at the Mediterranean University and is part of a project financed and monitored by the European Community, "Gender Equality in Engineering through Communication and Commitment" (GEECCO) .
